SHORT JOB DESCRIPTION

Rising Hope Neighborhood Church is seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, punctual, and detail oriented sound engineer to record, mix, and edit music and audio during worship services and special events. The sound engineer will set-up, trouble shoot, and operate sound equipment in worship, recordings, and post-productions to ensure optimal sound quality in the house, on our live broadcast and in recordings. Also, the sound engineer will be responsible for training other members of the media team in the essentials for operating equipment and mixing sound during worship. The sound engineer will be an active member of our media team.

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION

Formal live sound training and a minimum of 3 years of continuous professional Sound Engineering experience.
Applicants that demonstrate necessary gifting will also be considered. Knowledge and ability to operate a Soundboard.
Experience serving in a church or worship setting is preferred.
Solid understanding of industry standard practices and techniques.
Live sound engineering of large venues consisting of at least 40 channels.
Fluent with both analog and digital consoles.
Experience mixing different genres of music, including gospel.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attentiveness and detail oriented.
Leadership skills for directing a team of volunteers.
Commitment and ability to work in and contribute to overall staff in team-based environment
Using softwares Propresenter, Resi, Wix, Pushpay ( if not we can training you in it) Online church software.

Essential Functions

1. The employee must have a heart for our lord and savior and the community as well as support the vision of Rising Hope Neighborhood Church.

2. Technician for the church’s primary worship venue and support additional venues.

3. Team player on the Rising Hope Neighborhood Church staff.

4. Work to recruit and retain highly functioning volunteers.

5. Develop systems to ensure that all volunteers are equipped and empowered to serve.

6. Support the ministries of the church through the creation of content, technical support for equipment, and training of staff and volunteers.

7. Participate in creative team meetings and contribute ideas, support, and feedback.

8. Conceptualize, layout, and create creative projects to be used for church-wide experiences including weekend services, special events, and ministry opportunities.

9. Create/design lighting plots for all studio/remote location productions and oversee the implementation/execution of these designs.

10. Research media development and deployment software as well as maintain the necessary changes, upgrades, and improvements to media equipment.

11. Be responsible for inventory and re-ordering of lighting equipment, as supported by the production department budget.

12. Manage the care, inventory, and maintenance of all lighting equipment.

13. Help with the operation, maintenance, and installation of a wide range of technologies across the campus - lights, sound, video, computers, cameras, etc.

14. Office hours will be set but are flexible around morning/evening events or other extra church activities.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Demands

This would require the ability to move equipment from one location to another and the ability to lift 50 pounds.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

experience at the Ministry.
Working knowledge of Planning Center Online and Church Community Builder ( if not we are training you) .
Experience recruiting, training, and leading a high-octane volunteer team.
Experience planning and facilitating training, large events, and retreats.
Experience managing a ministry budget.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk and will occasionally be required to do some light lifting (up to 25 pounds).
